In 2023, I graduated from Oregon State University with my Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology with an option in Pre-Physical Therapy and Allied Health and a minor in Human Development and Family Sciences. I was an honor roll student and graduated with the honor of cum laude.

Doctor of Physical Therapy Student

I am currently a graduate student in the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program at the University of Southern California with plans to graduate in 2027.

Athletic Background

I have spent the majority of my life as an athlete among various sports. I am extremely passionate about running, as I used to compete competitively in track and field. My track and field events included the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, 400 meter dash, 4×100 meter relay, and 4×400 meter relay. During my off season from competitions, I participated in other athletics, trained with club teams, or in a variety of fitness activities. I spent an entire season training myself for a competitive season. As a result, I placed 1st in one event and 3rd in three events in districts and then placed 4th and 8th in the state for two of my events for 6A schools. I was awarded 1st Team All League, 2nd Team All League, Honorable Mention all State Track and Field, OSAA Award of Excellence, and OSAA Foundation Scholar Program for Athletics by the Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA). I also received awards and recognition from my high school of Distinguished Athlete, Female Athlete Track and Field MVP, and Female Athlete Track and Field High Point Athlete throughout multiple seasons.

Variety of Fitness and Physical Activity Experience

Along with being a track and field athlete, I participated in soccer competitively (club teams and high school teams) for 12 years. My athletic background has varied throughout my life and includes participation in dance, gymnastics, basketball, and swimming.

Aside from athletics I’ve always enjoyed recreational fitness activities such as hiking, kayaking, rafting, bowling, biking, and walking. I currently maintain my fitness levels through running, resistance training, biking, yoga, and HIIT workouts. I have discovered many ways to incorporate fitness and physical activity into my life, which has made me knowledgeable on a variety of fitness activities!

Gluten-Free Lifestyle

I was diagnosed with celiac disease when I was 11 years old. Therefore, maintaining a nutritious well-balanced gluten-free diet is a huge priority in my life. I have become very knowledgeable on how to successfully implement a gluten-free diet into one’s lifestyle.

My wellbeing has always played a vital role in my life, which makes my health, fitness, and lifestyle choices extremely important in achieving an optimal quality of life. My experiences as a patient with multiple diagnoses have made me ambitious to impact the lives of others with hopes of inspiring them throughout their healing journey.

Leadership Experience

As an undergraduate student, I involved myself in my community through many opportunities. I was a member of the Pre-Therapy and Allied Health club, a student volunteer for the IMPACT (Individualized Movement and Physical Activity for Children Today) program, manager of two intramural sports teams, an assistant manager for Dutch Bros Coffee, physical therapy shadow and aide, and a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta Phi Chapter.

I have spent my entire life being proactive in seeking out community experiences in leadership, volunteering, and extracurricular activities in neighboring towns. This made me ambitious in gaining opportunities that support my journey of becoming an admirable healthcare professional.
